Year 1 have been learning about Ernest Shackleton, the famous explorer, who used his time machine to visit them last week. The children asked so many brilliant questions and found out how his crew escaped the ice in Antarctica and made it home safely.
They also enjoyed their workshop about Antarctica and the Arctic. After becoming crew and sailing to both the North and South Pole, they then became penguins, polar bears, Arctic stoats, and Arctic wolves.
