Sports Gap Assistants - January 2024
Are you taking a gap year? We have a number of exciting opportunities in our sports department on a fixed term contract until June 2024. On-site accommodation provided.
As a Sports Gap Assistant you will
- Support the Heads of Sport with the organisation and management of teams.
- Assist with the planning, preparation and teaching of Games lessons.
- Officiate at school sports fixtures and tournaments.
- Lead training sessions and support the delivery of lessons.
- Meet, greet and supervise school teams on match days including Saturdays
- Supervising pupils on sporting fixtures and trips
Successful candidates will have a strong sporting background and team-working skills.

Working hours:
The post is 42.5 hours per week – term time only (34 weeks per year).
Salary: £325.28 per week
Further benefits: Free on-site accommodation and free meals during the College’s term time.

Netball Coaches
We are looking for a number of talented and enthusiastic Netball Coaches to join our successful sports department.
The successful candidate will be a competent umpire and hold level 1/2 coaching qualifications.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 13:00-18:00 and 3-4hrs on Saturday.

Working as part of our great transport team – you will be responsible for driving College minibuses primarily in the mornings and evenings to ensure that all pupils are collected and dropped off according to passenger schedules.
Working hours: Hours are Monday to Friday 6.00 am to 8.30 am and 5.45 pm – 8.00 pm, term time only- 34 weeks p.a.
Hourly rate: £13.11 (inclusive of holiday pay).

Matron
We are looking to appoint two proactive and supportive individuals to join our pastoral team, working within our boarding houses.
The primary role of the Matron is to support the Housemaster/mistress (HoM) with the welfare, happiness and well-being of the pupils in their care. Working in conjunction with the HoM, the Matron supervises and provides care for the pupils, with particular emphasis on the physical, social and emotional wellbeing and presentation of the pupils in the House.
In addition, the Matron (alongside the HoM) is responsible for the day to day running of the House, ensuring its cleanliness, tidiness, comfort, health and safety. The role is supported by cleaning staff.
Working hours: The post is for 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday – 8.00 am to 5.00 pm or 9.00 am to 6.00pm with an hour’s unpaid break), term time only plus one week ie. 35 per weeks per year. Job Share considered.
Salary: £19,767 per annum actual salary (£23,817 FTE).
