Smart and business-like
Whilst social distancing continues, please be aware of the changes to buying uniform in the Summer and Michalemas 2020 terms. To stay updated with changes to the operation of the College Uniform Shop, it is important that all parents register on the Stevensons website here.
Appointments and online purchases
Register on the Stevenson’s website to book appointments (new pupils only) and to order uniform for click and collect. The Uniform Shop will be open for APPOINTMENTS ONLY and only for students new to Hurst in September 2020. Current parents are encouraged to make online purchases.
All parents are encouraged to organise uniform purchases as early as possible. Postal options and Click and Collect will be available and the Uniform Shop offers a 120-day Returns Policy which means you can exchange any items if your child has a late growth spurt.
All clothing, including casual clothes and footwear, should be clearly marked with your child’s name. Please note that certain items of games kit should be embroidered on the front with your child’s initials. The embroidery service is available at the Uniform Shop, but please note that this may take a few days for items to be completed. Sew on labels may take several weeks to be delivered, so please ensure you order well in advance. House abbreviations, for inclusion on name tapes, can be found in the Senior School Parents Handbook.
All items, including footwear, must be clearly marked with your child’s name by a name label or laundry marker. Please ensure all such labels are sewn FLAT and not just on the ends. Prep School regulation PE and games kit purchased from the Uniform Shop should be embroidered with your child’s initials at a nominal charge. An embroidery service is available from the Uniform Shop.
The on-site shop is located on Chalker’s Lane, next to the Dance and Drama studios (opposite the Prep School). There are reserved parking spaces for customers.
Second Hand Uniform Shop
The Hurst Foundation runs a Second Hand Uniform Shop to raise funds which will directly benefit the pupils. The shop is situated in the CCF compound – take the path that runs to the left-hand side of the Drama Studio, then turn left through the green gates and the shop is on the right.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions and size of the shop, the second hand uniform shop is unable to open as hoped. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
Current uniform for sale can be brought to the shop when it is open or left at any other time with the Lodge. All uniform should be clean and in good condition. In popular demand are blazers and sports kit, especially house shirts. Sports equipment such as cricket pads and body armour can also be taken in. Everything should be clearly labelled with the seller’s name and address and should also include a self-addressed stamped envelope so that payment can be sent. 50% of the proceeds go to the seller and 50% to the Hurst Foundation funds.
Opening times: Second Hand Uniform Shop
During term time the Second Hand Uniform shop will be open:
Every Monday morning from 8.00am to 9.30am
and the first Friday of each month, from 4.00pm to 6.15pm.
