Second Hand Uniform Shop
The Hurst Foundation runs our Second Hand Uniform Shop, raising funds which directly benefit pupils.
Please note that the Second Hand Uniform Shop will not be open over the summer holidays due to insufficient new stock. It is expected that stock levels will build over the coming months, allowing the shop to reopen in the next academic year.
Opening times (term time)
Mondays: 8.00am – 9.30am
First Friday of each month: 3.45pm – 5.00pm
Please note, the Second Hand Uniform Shop will not be open during the summer holiday.
Location
The shop is located behind the main Hurst College Uniform Shop. Take the path that runs to the right hand side of the main Uniform Shop (through the gate), then turn left through the green gates and the Second Hand Uniform Shop is on the right.
Due to the change in the uniform from September 2024, the Second Hand Uniform Shop is no longer collecting most of the ‘old’ uniform and are only accepting the following items:
- Old Uniform: Bench coats, Large size hoodies (adult S, M, L or XL only) and Canterbury tracksuits (any size, but good condition only i.e. no holes).
- Sports equipment: Astro shoes, rugby and football boots, cricket shoes, athletic spikes, climbing shoes, hockey sticks, cricket bats and cricket pads and helmets.
Items for re-sale
Parents who have uniform (items listed above/any new uniform) for re-sale can bring their items to the Second Hand Uniform Shop during opening hours or, when closed, left at The Lodge.
All items should be clean and in good condition. They should be clearly labelled with the seller’s name and address and a telephone number and bank details should be put in a sealed envelope so that payment can be made via BACS.
50% of the proceeds go to the seller and 50% to the Hurst Foundation funds. Anything not deemed suitable for sale, or unsold after 2 years, will be donated to charity.
