Year 1 enjoyed a special workshop with One Day Creative when they learnt all about the Arctic, Antarctica and Shackleton’s expedition.
As part of the workshop, they acted out being all sorts of Arctic and Antarctic animals – with baby penguins being a particular favourite. They also learnt why we have the aurora borealis and why Antarctica is dark throughout winter.
The workshop ended with building a camp on the ice and being rescued by Sir Ernest Shackleton.
