Training

Netball at Hurst Sixth Form takes place in both the Michaelmas (autumn) and Lent Terms. In the Lent Term, Netball is the main sport for girls.

Hurst runs a large number of teams across all age groups and caters for all abilities.

We also offering one-to-one and group sessions for our performance squads. Part of the Hurst Netball training programme includes supervised Strength and Conditioning in the Hurst gym.

Tournaments and Fixtures

Hurst Netball teams have full, extensive fixture cards. All teams have fixtures on a Saturday in addition to mid-week games. Our block fixtures are against some of the strongest netball schools in the South of England and our A teams will travel to play some of the top teams across the country.

Netball Facilities at Hurst

Hurst has 10 Netball courts, which includes one indoor court.

Achievements

Netball achievements from our Sixth Form (U19) Netball players include the following.

  • 2018 – U19 5th place at National Finals
  • 2020 – U19 qualified for National Finals but could not attend due to the COVID-19 pandemic
  • 2022 – U19 11th place at National Finals
  • 2023 –U19 5th place at National Finals
  • 2025 – U19 4th place at National Finals
