Shell Arts Festival and Prize Day 2023 - Hurstpierpoint College

Shell Arts Festival and Prize Day 2023

As part of their End of Year Programme, every Shell pupil took part in the Shell Arts Festival which was performed to parents on a warm Wednesday afternoon as a curtain raiser for Prize Day.

Following two and a half days of 10 workshops across the spectrum of the performing arts, the entire Shell year group performed at the Shell Arts Festival.

From drumming to puppetry and street dance to film music, all students were fully immersed in the creative process some accessing skills that they simply didn’t realise they possessed.

This was a hugely rewarding experience and a great example of what an all-round Hurst education is truly about.

Following a smorgasbord of Art’y performances Shell pupils and Parents took their seats in Chapel for addresses from the Head of College Mr Mott, and the Shell Heads of Year Miss Cave and Mr Lilley.

The Shell at Hurst is a deliberately broad and diverse Year, and this was a poignant moment to celebrate pupils who have excelled in every facet.

To the 34 award winners, well done, and to everyone else, keep working hard because your efforts are always recognised.

Chapeau to the Shell pupils Simon Lilley, Head of Shell
