Shell Activity Day - All Senior & Sixth Form - Hurstpierpoint College

The Shell students were put through their paces on a very successful multi-activity day at Blackland Farm in East Grinstead. This annual adventure event is part of the extended induction programme for new Shell students.

Split into 15 randomly allocated groups on arrival, Shell students soon busied themselves, working together to make the most of the four planned outdoor activities. Their enthusiasm, kindness and conscientiousness shone throughout despite climbing walls, crawling through dark tunnels and orienteering around the 200-acre site.

The event exceeded its aims of reinforcing the year group’s sense of community and identity, as even more friendships were cemented. Huge thanks to our Outdoor Education team and Shell tutors who gave their time and energy to organise such an amazing day that was enjoyed by all. A special well done to the Shell students for being such a credit to Hurst.
