Our entry for the Best use of Video Award 2021

The College’s Combined Cadet Force (CCF) created a special video to show their appreciation of key and frontline workers by saluting them during the national Clap for Carers initiative during the lockdown. Those saluting included students and staff from the College’s three sections – Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy – either on campus or at home.

The College community embraced the Clap for Carers initiative by creating ‘Blue Thursdays’ when those on campus paid a socially-distanced tribute to NHS and key workers against a backdrop of the College Chapel tower which was illuminated in blue to mark the occasion. The event was live streamed for members of the Hurst community who were unable to be there.
