Afghan Appeal - Hurstpierpoint College

The Hurst Charity Team recently launched an emergency appeal to support families hit by the dreadful crisis in Afghanistan.  This saw the Hurst community come together to contribute backpack care packages filled with essential items such as clothes, toiletries, sanitary items and baby products.

The number of items collected showed the huge generosity of spirit in the Hurst community, with the bus drivers delivering the items to the container, ready for shipping to those in need.  Teaming up with the Care for Calais charity, Hurst was delighted to help this excellent cause.

This initiative was a massive community effort spanning across the school and brought a lift of hope to the end of the academic week and was the perfect conclusion to the Chapel service. Jami Edwards-Clarke, Director of Diversity and Inclusion
