All Hurst students have access to our Player Welfare team. Our team of sports injury specialists includes highly-skilled chartered physio and sports therapists. They can provide clinical injury assessment and advice and they monitor students’ recovery from injuries. The Player Welfare team have a fully equipped rehab room and in-house clinics are held throughout the week. They also provide pitch-side first aid for many events.

Rehabilitation and prevention through education is an important focus of the service and the team integrate closely with the college’s Medical Centre, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Sports department and houseparents.

The Player Welfare Programme was established in 2014 to treat and support our young athletes with sports injuries.

This unique multi-faceted and visionary programme, with its integrated and reliable service, is highly regarded by other schools. Rob Kift, Director of Sport
