Y e a r s 3 – 6 M a s t e r c l a s s M o r n i n g
Excitement filled the classrooms as pupils from Years 3 to 6 took part in a dynamic Masterclass Morning, designed to spark creativity and curiosity across a range of subjects. Each child selected two activities from an inspiring menu of options, ensuring a morning packed with discovery and fun.
For Years 3–4, the choices were as imaginative as they were educational. Budding mathematicians built their own Shape City, using nets to create 3D structures. In English, pupils unleashed their creativity in Comics, twisting favourite tales into hilarious comic strips. Science enthusiasts explored the cosmos in the Wonder Dome Planetarium, while history lovers crafted clay replicas of coins in Coins Through History. Language learners enjoyed Un Marché Français, role-playing in a lively French market. Meanwhile, the arts came alive with Dance is “Wicked”, inspired by the hit musical, and a Percussion Workshop, where pupils built rhythm skills and performed together.
Years 5–6 had equally exciting opportunities. Maths became an adventure in Crack the Code, where pupils worked as detectives to solve puzzles and unlock a vault. English took a tasty twist with Edible Poetry, blending sensory experiences with poetic creativity. Science offered another journey through the stars in the Planetarium, while Humanities challenged pupils to create a Recycled World Map. Cultural exploration continued with a vibrant Spanish Festival, complete with music and dance. Artistic flair shone in Acrylic Painting of Doggies, inspired by Holly Frean, and Classics fans tackled puzzles in Escape from the Labyrinth. Sports enthusiasts learned new skills in Handball, and drama pupils stepped into character with improvisation.
The morning was a celebration of learning beyond the classroom, giving pupils the chance to explore new interests, develop skills, and most importantly, to have fun.
