Year 7 Visit Canterbury Cathedral - Hurstpierpoint College

Year 7 pupils enjoyed an enriching History and REP trip to Canterbury Cathedral, where their exemplary conduct and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on both Hurst staff and Cathedral guides.

During the visit, pupils took part in a guided tour of the historic site, deepening their understanding of the Cathedral’s religious significance and its remarkable past. The tour also offered the opportunity to explore the story of Thomas Becket’s life, which they had previously studied in History.

Cathedral staff were quick to praise the group, with one team member describing the cohort as “the most respectful group he had ever welcomed to the Cathedral.” The day highlighted the curiosity, maturity, and eagerness to learn that characterise this year group, making the visit a memorable experience for all involved.
