A Traditional Punch and Judy Show
Year 1 had the pleasure of experiencing a traditional Punch and Judy show, full of humour and engaging storytelling. It was a fantastic way to bring the history of seaside entertainment to life, and the children were thoroughly amused, laughing frequently during the performance. The show also introduced the children to its long-standing popularity at British seaside resorts and the history behind it – did you know that Mr. Punch is 363 years old and was first recorded in the Diary of Samuel Pepys?
To round off the event, the puppeteer performed a lively magic trick. Overall, the experience provided a great balance between learning, entertainment, and fun, making for another memorable day in Year 1.
