Tall tales and revolting rhymes on Roald Dahl day

Pupils from Years 3 and 4 dress up as favourite characters

The children in Years 3 and 4 dressed up as their favourite Roald Dahl character on Roald Dahl Day last Friday.

Miss Trunchbull, Fantastic Mr Fox, Willy Wonka and several Oompa Loompas poured into the classrooms, along with several Sophies, Charlies, Matildas and even some very grey-haired grandparents!

The children’s normal lessons had a decidedly Dahl twist, as Year 3 took part in a team maths quiz, solving fiendishly tricky sums; while Year 4 competed in a treasure hunt, following special clues to find pictures of Roald Dahl characters.

The library was buzzing at break times, as Mrs Barrett kept everyone entertained with tall tales, revolting rhymes and other Roald Dahl activities.
