To apply for a Scholarship and Bursary for entry to Year 7, Year 9 or Sixth Form in September 2026, you will need to complete the relevant online application forms.

Please ensure the forms are completed by the closing date for the year group you are applying for as we are unable to consider late applications. Closing dates will be outlined below, and in the Scholarship and Bursary Information Booklet for entry in 2026 (below).

Scholarships no longer carry a value, only the title and the elite pathway programme for scholars.

If you require a means tested bursary, please read the information below under Bursaries.

13+ (Year 9) entry – Scholarships and Bursaries

Applications for 2026 entry closed on Friday 28 November 2025.

16+ (Sixth Form) – Scholarships and Bursaries

Applications for 2026 entry closed on 24 October 2025.

Bursaries

To apply for a Bursary, please tick the relevant box on the scholarship application form. You will receive an email with details of how to apply online for a bursary. Once you have submitted the online form together with the relevant documentation, someone from BAL will be in touch to arrange a zoom call to discuss your application. You will be offered two appointments and it would be appreciated if you can please try your best to be available for one of those times, so that the application can be processed in time for us to consider.
