Year 6 pupils enjoyed a vibrant celebration of language and performance, beginning with a lively French Fashion Show. Dressed in carefully chosen outfits, the children confidently took to the catwalk, modelled their looks, and delivered descriptions in French. Their enthusiastic performances showcased not only creativity and style but also their growing confidence in speaking a modern foreign language.
The day continued with an exciting theatrical treat for Years 3–6 as the renowned Onatti Theatre Company visited to perform their half English and half French production Shipwrecked en France.
Playful, energetic, and packed with comedy and cultural references, Shipwrecked en France offered pupils an immersive language learning experience that combined entertainment with authentic French listening practice.
The combination of the Year 6 French Fashion Show and the Onatti performance made for a memorable and inspiring day, one that encouraged pupils to embrace language learning with enthusiasm, confidence, and curiosity.
