Year 1 Pupils Explore Sea Life on Brighton Trip - Hurstpierpoint College

Year 1 pupils enjoyed a memorable and enriching day out during their recent visit to the Sea Life Centre and Brighton Beach. The trip combined hands-on learning with plenty of fun, offering children the chance to deepen their understanding of marine environments.

At the Sea Life Centre, pupils participated in an engaging workshop focused on habitats, where they learned about the different environments that sea creatures call home. The session sparked curiosity and excitement, with many pupils keen to share their newfound knowledge. A particular highlight was watching the turtles being fed, which captivated the children and provided a close-up look at marine life in action.

The adventure continued as pupils explored the wide variety of sea creatures on display, from colourful fish to fascinating underwater species. Their enthusiasm was evident as they moved through the exhibits, eager to take in every detail. The day was made even more special by warm sunshine, allowing the group to enjoy lunch on Brighton Beach.

To round off the trip, children took part in hands-on geography activities, exploring the key features of the seaside environment. This practical experience helped reinforce their classroom learning in a meaningful and memorable way.
