The girls’ U13 team delivered an outstanding performance throughout the IAPS Netball tournament, playing five qualifying matches with confidence and composure. Their biggest test came against Brighton College Prep Handcross, where an early three goal lead was quickly challenged. Brighton College Prep Handcross mounted an impressive comeback, battling hard to level the game and secure a 6–6 draw. Despite this, the team’s goal average ensured they progressed to the semifinals as group leaders.
In the semifinal, the girls showcased their finest form yet, overwhelming Felton Fleet with a commanding 22–2 victory. With the top three teams guaranteed a place in the next stage, qualification was already secure. However, the squad remained focused and determined, setting their sights on finishing the tournament in style.
Facing Brighton College Prep Handcross once again in the final, the team approached the match with a clear tactical plan. Their disciplined execution and teamwork paid off, earning them a decisive five goal victory. It was a performance that not only avenged the earlier draw but also highlighted the squad’s growth, resilience, and dominance.
The girls finished the tournament as deserved champions, demonstrating exceptional skill, spirit, and unity throughout. They can be immensely proud of their achievement and their well-earned 1st place finish.
