Hurst’s U12 netballers delivered a phenomenal performance at Cranleigh, securing a historic national title in spectacular style.
Competing under bright skies, the squad arrived focused and determined—and their performance across the day proved unstoppable. After powering through their pool matches against Hazelgrove, Culford Prep, Bishops Stortford and Dragon School, the team carried their momentum confidently into the knockout rounds.
In the quarter-final they overcame Seaford College, followed by an impressive semi-final victory over Taunton. Their final showdown against Heath Mount School showcased everything that defines this exceptional group: discipline, athleticism and an unshakeable team connection.
From start to finish, the girls dominated play. Only one opposing team managed to score even half their total—a testament to Hurst’s defensive strength and sharp decision‑making. Meanwhile, the shooters delivered an outstanding display, maintaining accuracy in the high 90% throughout the tournament.
This landmark achievement marks the first national title for a Hurst Year 7 team and stands as a proud moment for the school community.
With talent, spirit and teamwork like this, the future is incredibly bright for Hurst netball.
