U11B Success at Hurst Hockey Tournament - Hurstpierpoint College

The U11B Girls’ Hockey team delivered a stellar performance at the annual Hurst U11B Tournament, emerging as champions after a day of competitive and spirited play.

The team began their campaign with a determined 1-1 draw against Cumnor, setting the tone for a day of high-energy hockey. They quickly built momentum, securing a commanding 3-0 win over Windlesham and a composed 1-0 victory against St Christopher’s. These results placed them at the top of their pool and earned them a spot in the semi-finals.

Facing Seaford College in a tense semi-final, the girls demonstrated resilience and teamwork, edging out a 1-0 win to advance to the final; a rematch against St Christopher’s. In a thrilling and closely fought final, the Hurst team held their nerve and clinched the title with another 1-0 victory.

Every player contributed to the team’s success, showcasing impressive skill, energy, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Their collective effort and determination were a credit to the school, and the championship win was a well-deserved reward for their hard work.
