Hurst hosted both its Prep Girls’ and Prep Boys’ Athletics Meetings across two exciting days of competition, showcasing determination, resilience and team spirit. The Prep Girls’ event saw fifteen schools take part in a vibrant and supportive day of track and field, with an exceptionally high standard of performance throughout; Hurst pupils excelled across both age groups, securing an outstanding double victory in the Junior and Senior competitions. The Prep Boys’ meeting brought a different challenge, with what could only be described as biblical weather conditions, yet pupils showed remarkable perseverance to complete the full programme of events. Despite the testing conditions, the competition remained strong, with Westbourne House winning the Junior and overall categories, Hurst taking first place in the Senior competition, and The Hawthorns and Hazelwood also featuring among the top finishers. Across both events, the enthusiasm, sportsmanship and commitment of all involved were evident, making them a fantastic celebration of Prep athletics.
