The team produced an outstanding performance at the IAPS tournament, showcasing determination, teamwork and impressive skill throughout the day.
The opening match saw a closely fought contest against Brighton College Prep Handcross, with the girls narrowly missing out by just one goal. Undeterred, the team rallied superbly, delivering dominant wins over Ardingly Prep, Hawthorns and St Christopher’s to finish second in their group.
Their strong group-stage run earned them a place in the semi-final against a formidable Streatham and Clapham side. The match proved to be a tense, goal-for-goal battle, but a crucial turnover on the team’s centre pass ultimately denied them a spot in the final.
Despite the setback, the girls demonstrated admirable resilience. In the 3rd/4th place play-off, they regrouped with determination and produced an excellent performance to defeat Brighton College Prep Handcross, securing a well-deserved bronze medal.
It was a day of impressive effort, teamwork, and tenacity, an achievement the whole team can be proud of.
