A talented group of Prep School swimmers delivered an outstanding performance at the ESSA Primary Schools’ National Finals, competing against the very best young swimmers from across the country.
Representing Hurst, Allegra S, Effy J, Yuchen C and Charlie P qualified for both the Medley and Freestyle relay events—an impressive achievement. The team then progressed through the preliminary heats in both disciplines, securing places in the highly competitive A finals of the Large Schools category.
The Freestyle relay saw a particularly exciting race, with Hurst finishing in a superb 3rd place. Momentum continued into the Medley relay, where the competition between the leading schools remained extremely tight, with Hurst qualifying second fastest from the heats in a time of 1:06.23.
In the A final, the team rose to the challenge once again, delivering a brilliant swim to secure 2nd place with an improved time of 1:05.85.
This was a fantastic achievement for Hurst’s young swimmers, showcasing not only their talent but also their determination and teamwork at the highest level of school competition.
