Reception pupils visited the South Downs Nursery for a hands-on learning experience, where they had the opportunity to pot their own plants to take back and enhance their outdoor learning area.
The group also explored how a garden centre works, scanning plants through the tills and discovering the journey from purchase to planting. A special treat awaited them in the café, where they enjoyed warm hot chocolates before continuing their tour.
One of the highlights of the trip was the on-site museum, where pupils learned about historic lawnmowers and traditional gardening tools.
The outing was a great success, with Reception returning to school full of excitement and new knowledge about plants, gardening, and the world around them.
