Reception Pupils Trip to Build-A-Bear - Hurstpierpoint College

Reception pupils embarked on their very first school trip with great excitement, travelling by school bus to Build-A-Bear Workshop in Brighton. The outing marked a memorable milestone for the youngest members of the school community.

During the visit, each child had the opportunity to choose a bear and bring it to life using a special stuffing machine. A particularly heartwarming moment came when every child placed a heart inside their bear, making them truly special companions for the classroom.

The children showed fantastic creativity and care as they selected outfits and cosy pyjamas for the bears. After much thoughtful discussion, the class named their new furry friends Pam and Mick.

Pam and Mick will now become cherished members of the Reception class, joining in daily activities and even heading off on weekend adventures to visit the children’s homes. Staff and pupils alike are looking forward to hearing all about the bears’ exciting escapades.

The trip was a joyful and enriching experience, setting the tone for a year full of learning, friendship, and fun.
