Pupils Enjoy Ski Trip to Austria - Hurstpierpoint College

A group of 40 enthusiastic pupils from Years 7 to 9 headed to the stunning Alpine resort of Zell am See for an unforgettable week on the slopes. With a mix of complete beginners and confident advanced skiers, the trip offered something for everyone, whether learning to snowplough for the first time or weaving their way around the mountain with ease.

Each day was filled with excellent skiing conditions, helped by regular snowfall. Pupils enjoyed scenic lunches on the slopes, taking in the breathtaking views before heading back out for more time on the snow. The week concluded with a well-earned hot chocolate with the instructors, marking a perfect end to the experience.

Off the slopes, the group stayed in a fantastic hotel offering a wide range of evening activities. From indoor beach volleyball and trampolining to basketball and football, there was no shortage of energy or entertainment. Delicious food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere made it a home away from home for the week.

The trip was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to develop new skills, grow in confidence, and create lasting memories in the heart of the Austrian Alps.
