Middle School
Every Middle School pupil completes a Morrisby careers test which is then followed up in a one-to-one meeting with our Careers team. This assesses suitability for various careers and can help steer future decisions around A-level subject choices, degrees or apprenticeships. Pupils have ongoing access to the Morrisby Careers Portal which provides further support and guidance.
All Fifth Form pupils meet one-to-one with a senior member of staff to discuss their next steps. This includes a reflection on mock exam results whilst also looking forward towards A-level choices and post-Hurst options.
All Middle School pupils engage in a varied tutorial programme that includes themes such as personal development and careers. The Careers team lead on career-focused talks, education and skill building (e.g. CV writing). We host many careers events with excellent opportunities for pupils to listen to speakers that have experience in a wide range of interesting careers.
The Middle School PSHCE programme introduces further themes on employment, finances and other life skills which complement the wider tutorial programme to help prepare pupils for life.
