Excitement and energy filled the Prep School campus during the final weekend of September, as over 75 pupils from Years 3 to 8 participated in the school’s first triathlon of the academic year. The event marked a double celebration: not only was it the inaugural sporting event in the school’s brand-new swimming pool, but it also showcased the determination and spirit of its young athletes.
A triathlon—comprising swimming, cycling, and running—can be a demanding challenge, but distances were thoughtfully tailored to suit each age group. From the first splash in the pool to the final sprint across the finish line, pupils tackled each leg with enthusiasm and resilience.
Parents turned out in full force, bringing with them cheers, coffee, and a contagious sense of enthusiasm. Their support created a vibrant, uplifting atmosphere that carried our young athletes through every leg of the race. From the first splash to the final sprint, the encouragement from the sidelines made a real difference. Whether crossing the finish line first or digging deep to complete the course, every pupil displayed remarkable resilience, teamwork, and a courageous spirit in rising to the challenge.
Following the success of this event, the school is already planning a second triathlon for the end of the Lent Term, with hopes of an even larger turnout and another day of sporting excellence.
