NEA Trip to Brighton

Our students began the day in the Conference Room at Hurst, with a discussion about concepts relating to the ‘Changing Places’ topics, the aims and hypotheses of their fieldwork, and the appropriate sampling strategies for using in Brighton. Whilst at the i360 later on, the students considered how British Airways, as well as other endogenous and exogenous factors, influence Brighton’s sense of place. Throughout the day, the students took photos and collected evidence to support their conclusions. Other topics of focus included ‘Relationships and Connections’, and ‘Meaning and Representation’.

It was a beautiful day, and the students all collected some excellent data in the sunshine, as well as consolidated their knowledge of Brighton to help their case study in the ‘Changing Places’ human geography topic. Robin Martin-Jenkins, Head of A-level Geography
