Hurst’s Equestrian team had a successful weekend in the NSEA Show Jumping and Dressage qualifying events at Felbridge Show Ground. Six teams and six individuals achieved multiple national qualifications in both show jumping and dressage.
The show jumping discipline took place on Saturday, and the 70cm team of Henry C, Lars D, Lyla Y J and Rosie C qualified for the NSEA finals by winning their class. Henry also took second place in the individual event. In the 80cm class, Hurst had two teams competing. This time Henry C, Lars D and Lyla were joined by Isla A for the win which meant another finals qualification, and the second Hurst team of Biba B, Ralf B, Scarlet S H and Tilda S placed fourth. There were also two teams in the 90cm class. The team of Gracie B, Biba B, Morton D and Harriet B finished in fourth, while Harriet N, Ralf B, Ellie A and Samantha L finished in fifth. Morton D took second place in the individual event to qualify for the finals. The 1m team of Darcy B, Morton D, Ralf B and Harriet B qualified in first place and in the 1.10m class, Reece A won the individual competition to also qualify. In the dressage event on Sunday, our team of Harriet B, Ralf B, Ellie A and Mette D qualified for the finals by finishing second.
