ESAA Track and Field Cup Opener - Hurstpierpoint College

Round 1 of the English Schools’ Athletic Association (ESAA) Track and Field Cup saw outstanding performances from both the Junior and Inter girls’ teams, as athletes delivered impressive results across the board.

The Junior team exceeded expectations with a series of strong displays in both track and field events. Demonstrating determination and teamwork, the athletes recorded a host of personal bests and produced consistently high-scoring performances throughout the competition.

Meanwhile, the Inter team showed remarkable resilience in the face of late changes to the line-up. Despite the disruption, the squad remained focused and competitive, battling hard in every event to secure valuable points and maintain a strong overall position.

Individual performances were equally noteworthy. Christina F led the way for the Juniors with an exceptional 55-point contribution, earning her Performer of the Day honours for her age group. In the Inter category, Clementine L and Amelie W were jointly recognised after both delivered outstanding all-round performances, each scoring 43 points.

The team results capped off a successful day, with the Junior team taking first place and the Inter team securing a well-earned second.
