Hurst Pupils Score All 9s in GCSEs - Hurstpierpoint College

Hurst pupils are celebrating an exceptional set of GCSE results, with 57.5% of grades awarded in the top band (8–9).

Among the standout performers were Eleanor LLuke P, and Tessa B-H, who each secured a full set of grade 9s.

Reflecting on her journey, Eleanor, who joined Hurst in Year 7, said: “Hurst has definitely given me the confidence needed to succeed and gain a love of learning.”

Luke, a pupil who has spent his entire school life at Hurst, shared: “Since joining Hurst in Reception, I have felt continuously supported and encouraged to excel and achieve my best in all dimensions of school life. I feel particularly grateful for the superb academic provisions and inspiring teachers who have supported me with my studies, without whom it wouldn’t have been possible to achieve these grades.”

Tessa, who also joined in Reception, added: “I’ve absolutely loved my time at Hurst. I joined 3 days after my 4th birthday, and I’ve just turned 16… it’s gone in a flash. I’ve loved the sport, the drama, CCF, and had an amazing time on the hockey tour to Barcelona this summer. There have been so many amazing times and lovely friendships made. I’m now very excited for the next chapter and A levels.”

These results reflect the hard work and commitment of pupils across the year group, supported by dedicated staff and a broad academic programme. They have Worked Hard, Done Good, and Engaged. This is the Hurst Way.
