Prep School celebrate European Day of Languages

Last Thursday, the Prep School celebrated European Day of Languages, which included a full itinerary of events, ranging from flag making to food tasting.

The day provided an ideal opportunity for pupils to learn about European culture and the importance of learning languages. Food consumption featured highly on the list with a food tasting session, a themed lunch and an Italian ice cream making masterclass. In addition, the pupils learnt some introductory German in a mini taster session, and in English, the equivalent German words for their spellings. 

“Throughout the day there was a real buzz amongst the pupils and some asked if every day could be European Day of Languages! Although the food tasting is now over, the children can continue to enjoy their wonderful flag display for a few more weeks,” Alison Filkins, Head of MFL Prep School.
