Community Service

Thirty-five members of the Fifth Form, accompanied by three members of staff, recently spent their DofE service day helping at the Rock Farm project operated by One Church Brighton.

The project assists with the rehabilitation of ex-offenders and other institutionalised people by providing opportunities for these vulnerable adults to develop their skills. Our students spent the day chopping fallen trees into logs, laying wood chip paths, removing derelict fencing, sorting out firewood and laying mulch around fruit trees.

Our students really enjoyed flexing their muscles after several days of mock exams. Whilst the weather was not perfect, it failed to dampen their spirits on this very worthwhile day Father Jeremy Sykes, Chaplain
