Chevnix Charity Tennis Event Serves Up Success for Local Causes - Hurstpierpoint College

The Chevnix Charity Tennis Event brought together families, friends, and tennis enthusiasts for a sport focused day in the summer sun, all whilst generously raising vital funds for two remarkable charities: the Chailey Heritage Foundation and the Lymphoedema Support Network, supporting children and young people with complex disabilities and those suffering from Lymphoedema.

Featuring a lively mixed doubles tournament that saw spirited competition from start to finish, the final match was a thrilling showdown between two pupil/parent pairings, with Lucas H, a Chevron pupil in Shell, and his father ultimately claiming victory and the tournament title.

Beyond the courts, the event’s charity raffle proved to be a major highlight, offering an array of enticing prizes such as a Spa Day for Two at South Lodge, a Vineyard Tour with fizz, bottles of champagne, and a luxurious Fortnum & Mason hamper — all kindly donated by local supporters and businesses.

While the final fundraising total is still being confirmed, early estimates suggest that over £2,000 has been raised — a testament to community spirit, generosity and enthusiasm.
