On the final day of September, 212 Key Stage Four pupils from 10 Sussex schools attended a presentation in the New Bury Theatre from Isabel Grant, the Outreach Officer from Churchill College, University of Cambridge, and Brian Schofield, Head of Sixth Form at Hurst, called ‘An Introduction to Oxbridge and Making A Level Choices’.
Isabel gave the pupils an invaluable insight into an Oxbridge education and what Cambridge is looking for in its applicants, while Brian and the Hurst staff and prefects helped the young people understand the ‘super-curricular engagement’ expected of an aspiring Cambridge undergraduate. Pupils, staff, and parents were particularly appreciative of Isabel’s forthright advice on A-level subject choices, as well as Sodexo‘s incredible catering.
