Year 3 stepped back in time, immersing themselves in the fascinating world of Ancient Egyptian mummification. Their exciting journey began with creating a stunning death mask for Tutankhamun.
Next, the students brought history to life by decorating a sarcophagus, ensuring it was fit for a pharaoh’s eternal rest. The highlight of the day was the hands-on experience of mummifying a ‘real’ life mummy. They explored the six stages of mummification, discovering the skill and care the Egyptians devoted to preserving their dead for the afterlife.
The classroom buzzed with excitement as students learned history in the most interactive way possible, making memories as well as mummies!
