At the start of March, Liza, a Ukrainian pupil in Lower Sixth helped organise a breaktime Bake Sale to raise money for a vital cause — supporting war-affected Ukrainian children through the charity Save Ukraine
Having experienced firsthand the impact of the ongoing conflict, Liza passionately chose this charity, making the event not only a fundraiser but a powerful gesture of solidarity. Three years on from the invasion of Ukraine, it remains essential to show our continued support for those affected, and Liza’s initiative reminded us all of the importance of standing together for a cause that touches so many lives.
The event raised an amazing total of £225.99 which will help to provide crucial aid to children and families still facing unimaginable hardships.
