The 1st VII netball team delivered a phenomenal performance and took the win at the South Regional Netball Finals at The Wavell School in Farnborough. Their victory cements their place in the National Finals on Saturday, 15th March, in Sheffield.

The team demonstrated remarkable skill and consistency throughout the tournament, playing seven games in the rounds and took the win in all against Aylesbury, Ryde, Portsmouth, St Helen’s and St Cats, Bradfield, The Sixth Form, and William Borlase. The girls showed great teamwork and stayed undefeated in both county and regional stages of the competition.

In the semi-final, the team faced Stowe, the very team that had eliminated them last year. This time, however, they took control of the game and won by five goals in a tough match.

The final saw them take on Wellington, where they showcased their full potential again, earning themselves a well-deserved medal and solidifying their reputation as a powerhouse in the South.

With this latest triumph, one of the Hurst netball squads have now reached the National Final for an incredible tenth consecutive year, a testament to their enduring excellence and dominance in one of the strongest regions in the country.
