Cadets of all ages gathered early on a Sunday morning to pay their respects to the fallen heroes and those who have served in conflicts from the local community. 26 cadets participated in the Hurstpierpoint Village Remembrance Service, marching alongside community cadets and veterans from various wars. The village parade, as always, was well-attended, with the streets lined by both locals and visitors, reflecting the village’s deep respect for the occasion.
Several senior cadets played key roles in the ceremony, adding to the significance of the day. CSgt Bliss delivered the Kohima Epitaph at the war memorial, while CSgt Court and FSgt Reyes Garcia led the congregation in prayer during the church service. It was a powerful reminder of how the school remains deeply rooted in tradition and service to the community.
The drill and turnout of the cadets was impressive, especially considering that some of the Remove cadets only learned the “Eyes Right” command that very morning. Despite being new to the drill, they performed admirably, showing great pride and dedication. Congratulations to all involved for their outstanding participation in such an important event.
