Form 6G were the first lucky group to undertake the new JPS Design and Technology project. Working with Mr MacDonald, Head of Design and Technology in the SPS and Senior School, the pupils learnt how to solder and populated a printed circuit board for a solar powered light.
The pupils were asked to bring in a glass jar to house their light in, whilst also learning about sustainability and the importance of recycling and reusing the Earth’s resources. In the final session, pupils designed beautifully creative custom-made diffusers for their solar lights.
