CCF Stealth Exercise - Hurstpierpoint College

On Tuesday evening, as darkness enveloped the Hurst campus, the finest Fifth Form cadets gathered for a mission that would test their training and resolve. Their objective: to navigate covertly around the site, avoiding detection by heavily armed enemy forces that had taken over key areas. Over 30 cadets took part in this ambitious exercise, supported by a dedicated team of sixth form volunteers who played the roles of the enemy, creating a thrilling evening for all.

Challenged by muddy terrain and the ever-present threat of the enemy, the cadets displayed exceptional skill and determination. Crawling stealthily through the darkness, they evaded patrolling enemies, retrieved vital supply drops, and even undertook rescue missions, transporting casualties from a simulated vehicle crash to the field hospital. Every movement was made with precision, their camouflage blending seamlessly into the night to keep them concealed.

The cadets’ extensive stealth training was evident as they skillfully manoeuvred through the site with minimal detection. Close calls heightened the tension—enemy rounds were fired, smoke grenades were deployed, but all cadets completed the mission successfully. Their teamwork, discipline, and ingenuity turned the evening into a resounding success.

This operation was a testament to the cadets’ hard work and training, leaving no doubt about their capabilities in high-pressure scenarios. It was an unforgettable night of strategy and skill which will lead on to their weekend away later in the term.
