Squash is played across the Michaelmas and Lent terms and is open to boys and girls, senior and junior. The College uses the excellent Weald Tennis Club facilities and this popular sport continues to provide enjoyment for many, and complements both the tennis and badminton activities as part of the racquet sports programme.

Golf features in all three terms and the College runs fixtures against other local independent schools, predominantly in the Summer term. The teams compete in the HMC foursomes, South of England Independent Schools Championships and the Sussex Schools competition. Local courses, including Pyecombe, Singing Hills and Hassocks Golf Club are used, along with the driving range at Burgess Hill.
In games sessions, alongside our major girls’ sports, we run a supporting programme of activities. Throughout the year a highly qualified and enthusiastic instructor takes aerobics sessions. Outdoor Pursuits are on offer, driven by a very motivated team under the guidance of Mr Fred Simkins, Head of Outdoor Education, and there are many opportunities for girls to explore Dance under the direction of Mr Graeme Spencer. Our Upper Sixth girls also have the opportunity to ‘work out’ in our fitness suite, with advice and direction from Rob Smith (BA Leeds Metropolitan and the holder of various indoor rowing world records over 3 distances), the College fitness trainer who oversees fitness regimes and rehabilitation from injury for College pupils.
We offer a full and comprehensive range of other sporting activities to suit the needs of all our students during the year. These vary from term to term, with some running over two terms, and the girls have a choice of trampoline, badminton, squash, social hockey, cross country running, social netball, social tennis and power walking. For the forthcoming year we are planning to add further to this selection by arranging golf lessons.
