Netball

Netball is a big part of life at Hurst and is enjoyed by all the girls on a competitive and social level. We have a huge depth of girls and we offer fixtures of a great standard to everyone. Our fixtures take place in the week and on Saturdays. We play large schools such as Brighton College, Cranleigh, Wellington and Kings Canterbury.
September 2010 – The 1st Netball squad and some U16 players were invited to St Bede's Senior School and attended an afternoon of Coaching with England Player Geve Mentor. Geve is extremely highly rated as a player and coach. She was just about to head off to the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and inspired the girls with training drills and some match play. The girls loved their afternoon and thrived on her presence. It was a perfect introduction to the season and certainly motivated the girls’ success in the Sussex Knockout Cup and their qualification to the Regional Round of the National Schools Competition in January 2011.
