U15's triumph in the Sussex Knockout Cup

Hurst's fantastic under 15's unleashed a masterclass in their final of the Sussex Knockout Cup.

Playing a determined, disciplined and powerful Imberhorne College (whose players all seemed a good 15cm taller than ours!), they produced a deeply impressive demonstration of strategic and fast moving netball and did not let up for one second of the four fifteen minute quarters.

Imberhorne began well and denied Hurst the commanding lead they sought for at least the first fifteen minutes. Hurst's extraordinary mobility and tactical intelligence, however, meant that their opponents were never able to get in their stride, the more so because their attacking forays were so often thwarted by a defence that continually turned the ball over.

In all it was a superb squad performance and Hurst well deserved their winners' medals and their final tally of 49 against Imberhorne's 29.
