Hurst takes delivery of its new bus fleet

The College's new buses on Hurst's new buses on the A23 just prior to their delivery to the CollegeDemand up by 70% in the last 12 months reports Hurst's Services Manager, Dennis Levy.

 

Hurstpierpoint College has recently taken delivery of a new fleet of Ford Transit ‘Trend’ Minibuses. 

Dennis Levy, Hurst’s Services Manager comments, “The new bus livery, in Hurst red, is readily identifiable and in the last two snow filled weeks the buses have performed superbly well under difficult conditions.”

The fleet now consists of three 17 seater buses, two 15 seater buses and one 9 seater with a 13 seater LDV vehicle in reserve in case of need.

“The new buses are comfortable and quiet and very popular with pupils; The new fleet as they are delivered to the Collegeour drivers report that they are a delight to drive" continued Mr Levy. "Over the past twelve months, demand for our morning and evening buses has increased by some 70% and we have extended our range both to the North and the East to in response to demand.”

The College operates a daily morning service covering various towns and villages in Sussex and four daily evening services to Findon, Forest Row, Hove and Rottingdean respectively. There is a Friday evening only service to Maresfield via Haywards Heath. Details of routes, timings and costs are available from Dennis Levy, Services Manager on 01273 836898
