Jack Parsons takes his first wicket for England U19 in the first test in Sri Lanka

Hurst Sixth former and 1st XI captain, Jack Parsons, a right-arm off-spinner has made his debut for the England U19 cricket team, currently on tour in Sri Lanka. Jack took taken his first England wickets bowling in the first test on the opening day with figures of 2 for 72 off 20 overs. He took the catch to bring Sri Lanka's first innings to a close and went on to take 4 further wickets in Sri Lanka's second innings. The match was drawn. Hurst's Head of Cricket, Nick Creed, is delighted that Jack has made such a fantastic start to the tour, which comprises two four-day Test matches and a five match one-day international series.

Jack has been a member of the Sussex CCC Academy for some seasons now and was selected for the ECB England Under 18 Development Programme earlier this term. The Development Programme aims to produce players for the England Under 19 World Cup squad.
