It is impossible to predict with any certainty when, or indeed if, a pupil will gain Grade 8 in their instrumental or vocal examinations. Just as it can be with buses and trains, having waited what can seem like forever for one to appear, a number all turn up at the same time. It is with considerable excitement, and not a little pride that we have just learned that an unprecedented four pupils from the Senior school achieved their Grade 8's in examinations taken at the end of the Michaelmas Term.
