HURSTPIERPOINT COLLEGE students performed outstandingly well in both their A levels and GCSE’s

Following strong A level and AS level results, students at Hurstpierpoint College are now celebrating some excellent GCSE results. “I am” said Headmaster Tim Manly “very pleased indeed with Hurst’s GCSE results this year. They represent a terrific achievement by our pupils and show that the school has delivered an impressive and consistent record of attainment over the last 3 years, a period when our results have matched all-time College records.” "We are particularly pleased with the high number of pupils gaining 8 or more A*-A grades and that the exceptionally high percentage of A*-A last year has been maintained this year. On a broader front, some 85% of all our candidates have achieved A*-B grades in 10 or more subjects." "These results shows the strength and depth of the academic education provided throughout Hurst and highlights, once again, that one of our very special strengths is in adding value to the results achieved by our pupils in public examinations. Indeed we already know that this year our value added is even greater than in previous years." "I cannot pass comment on these results without mentioning the quite extraordinary achievements of this year group beyond the classroom in the visual and performing arts, through the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and other outside activities and on the sports field. They have learned to balance their many interests and responsibilities whilst keeping their studies at the core of their life at school. They will make a wonderful Lower Sixth over the coming twelve months."
