At 13, students join the Shell year. At this stage, they embark upon a course that is designed to take account of their educational background and meet their current needs.
The course is drawn from the following menu of subjects: Art, Biology, Chemistry, Drama, Design Technology, English, Ethical and Religious Studies, French, Geography, German, History, Information Technology, Latin, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Physics and Spanish
Advice on options and suitable subjects for study at GCSE is given during the Shell year.
